Sharing the Good News with Mormons

What is the best way to share the good news with Mormons? How do you engage people with the gospel who don’t think they need it? Is there one best approach or many?
If you have asked these kinds of questions, then I hope you will consider checking out my recent book: Sharing the Good News with Mormons.
This is not a theology book, even though it has an appendix that carefully defines 101 Mormon terms. Rather, it is a practical book full of proven strategies to thoughtfully and respectfully engage Mormons in spiritual conversation.
My co-author, Eric Johnson, lives in Salt Lake City, and works with the Mormon Research Ministry. Together, we have edited the book to contain twenty-four chapters written from a whole range of people who have different methods for sharing with Mormons. You may like some approaches more than others. But there is a certainly an approach that will work for you.
Here are a few of the unique chapters:
- “Who is the Real Jesus? —The Christ-Centered Approach.” (Rob Bowman)
- “Investigating Mormonism: The Case-Making Approach.” (J. Warner Wallace)
- “Sharing the Truth with LDS Women: The Compassion Approach.” (Becky Walker)
- “LISTEN: The Conversational Approach.” (David Geisler and Brian Henson)
There are twenty more practical chapters like these meant to help you get meaningful spiritual conversations started with your Mormon friends and family members.
One of the other helpful aspects of the books is that we include interviews (“Spotlights”) with people who have unique ministries to Mormons. For instance, we have a spotlight with Brett Kunkle about how to lead a student outreach and apologetics mission trip to Salt Lake City, UT. And we also include an interview with Shane Jones about his “coffee shop” ministry, which involves a strategic relationship building approach.
My father (Josh McDowell) wrote the foreword. And we got some remarkable endorsements by people such as Lee Strobel (“An invaluable resource!”) and J.P. Moreland (“Get this book, study it, and share it with others.”).
I am confident you will find this to be a unique and indispensable resource for ministry to Mormons. Please consider getting a copy, telling a friend, and then putting at least one approach into practice.
